World War Z Movie Update

Tuesday, March 15th, 2011

Two weeks ago, I was informed by the folks at Plan B that the movie version of ‘World War Z’ was on track to shoot sometime this year for a release sometime next year. I wish I had more details to pass on, but, as I’ve explained in the past, I am little more than a spectator. My involvement with this process consisted of selling the movie rights of my book to Plan B/Paramount. I have no creative input in the process, and have not even read Matt Carnahan’s script (although given his previous work, its bound to be pretty amazing). At this point, all I can do is sit on the sidelines and root for the team and with Brad Pitt, Matt Carnahan and Marc Forster, that’s one hell of a team!

Deadliest Warrior: Vampires vs Zombies

Wednesday, March 9th, 2011

After swearing to secrecy for the last few months, all of us can finally break our silence. Late last year Spike shot an episode of ‘Deadliest Warrior’ that featured zombies pitted against vampires. On one side, the zombie experts were Matt Mogk and myself, and on the other side, the vampire experts were Steve Niles and Scott Bowen. The show is due to air sometime this summer.
